Greenhead gets gold at Gemini Golf Open in Gloucester

Gemini Golf Club held their open at Aces Minigolf in Gloucester. The tournament hosted by Ruth & Steve Sturdy was the first held at the course by their club and a strong turnout from local players and some of the wider minigolf community saw a competitive and exciting competition take place.

In what was a thrilling final round, Stokes Minigolfer and tour veteran Martin Greenhead secured his 3rd title of the season acing two of the last three holes, narrowly beating Paul Tutt, Balazs Tompa and local expert Tony Davis. A fine performance from young Finn McPherson saw him hit a stunning opening round of 29 at the age of just 7.

In the Ladies category, Rachel King took the title with Ruth Sturdy (2nd) and Cindy Kukielka (3rd) making up the podium.

Congratulations to all who took part and thank you to Steve for permitting us use of his photograph. Steve also brought a novel twist to the occasion with Minigolf themed original music to encourage the players during warm up and between rounds, plenty to look forward to for next year!
