Strokes MGC Claim 3rd Club Championship

Saturday 16th March saw Strokes Minigolf Golf successfully defend their BMGA Club Championship at Strokes Adventure Golf. 

James Rutherford, ably assisted by Martin Greenhead, Chris Wood and Mark Wood, led ‘Strokes of Luck’ to Championship glory, defeating a  gallant Welsh Minigolf Club in the Final. It was a fine achievement by Martyn Williams, Balazs Tompa, Richard Jones, Zita Tompa in reaching the Final.

XL Primate Putters, Andy Exall, Matty Exall, Terry Exall and Scott Lancley,  representing Thanet Silverbacks, took the Bronze Medal after defeating Black Foxes 4&3.

A word from the winning Captain. “Since we formed as a club to win 3 club championships in a row is such a massive achievement, and it’s a testament to all of the players who have represented us. Each year has seen a different combination of players take the title, which is something we should all be proud of. Well played to all who took part, it was a fantastic tournament as ever played in great spirit. Shout out to the Strokes team captained by Matt Dodd who put in a great performance too. We’re looking forward to trying to defend the title again next year”

The Club Championship format never fails to deliver a keenly contested tournament where all teams acquitted themselves admirably with matches played in a naturally competitive but friendly spirit.

Already looking forward to 2025.
