Seve Kukielka of Gloucester Aces wins the first ever BMGA Charity Challenge

On Saturday 19th April, 18 players gathered to take part in the first ever BMGA Charity Challenge that was held at Dunton Hills on the eve of the British Club Champioships.
A relaxed, non-ranking event, 50% of the entry fees went to the winners chosen charity.

In what were incredibly gusty conditions, it was a particularly challenging afternoon of minigolf. All participants played two rounds over 12 holes with the top 8 qualifying for the knockout matchplay stages. Lower scores were difficult to come by but some noteable results were 30s from James Shaw and Marton Geda, a 28 from James Rutherford and a superb 27 from Seve Kukielka.

After the first two rounds, the top 8 faced off in a 12 hole matchplay knockout round. The matches were as below (winners highlighted in bold):-

Seve Kulielka vs James Hollinrake
James Rutherford vs Balazs Tompa
Marton Geda vs Chris Randell
James Shaw vs Adrian Amey 

The final round was for top 4 players over four hole, with Seve Kukielka winning with a score of 32, Chris Randell 2nd on 33, Balazs Tompa 3rd on 35 and James Shaw in 4th on 39.
