Wood takes Masters Title

Cemgc’s Mark Wood took the Masters Title after an absorbing final round which hinged on the infamous Volcano hole (hole 17), which saw a dramatic change in the final groups fortunes.

With a final round of 33, Mark finished on 141 (-3), one shot ahead of club mate Martin Greenhead 142 (-2), who finished a further shot ahead of Dave Donnelly (Thanet Silverbacks) 143 (-1), who edged out Steve Lovell (Sussex Wasps) for the third place play off.

Shelley Cooper (Thanet Silverbacks) became the Women’s Masters Champion.

Cameron Fincher (Thanet Silverbacks) took the Junior Title.

Chris Wood (Cemgc), took the Cat 2 Gold Medal, Adrian Amey (Cemgc) Silver and Dave Hartley (Planet Hastings) Bronze.

Shelley Cooper (Thanet Silverbacks), took the Cat 3/4 Gold Medal, James Hollinrake (Thanet Silverbacks) Silver and Brian Gould (Planet Hastings) Bronze.

Andy Exall (Thanet Silverbacks) took the Aces prize.
