Michael Smith wins season opener

Michael Smith won the opening event of 2019, the inaugural Thanet Open held at the Flamingo Arcade Complex in Margate on the new indoor Lost Island Adventure Golf course.

Michael was in peerless form, dropping only one shot in the 54 hole tournament, winning by seven shots from Steve Lovell, who beat Seve Kukielka in a play off for 2nd place.

Planet Hastings Paul Johnson took the category 2 prize, with Shelley Cooper of the home club taking the category 3 prize.
