English Open

A tournament with great history, the English Open will be held for the first time at Mr Mulligans Dino Golf in Sidcup. The tour has been visiting the course at Sidcup for well over 10 years and the course has played host to some great tournaments during that time. The current English Open holder is David Woodcock who stormed to his first title at Taunton last year, beating Michael Smith and Seve Kukielka on his way to a 5 shot victory.

Last year, the British Masters was held at Sidcup and players had to negotiate with the new obstacles on a number of the holes for the first time. The changes proved a challenge but players found a way to master the new holes and with a further year to finesse the lines it will be interesting to see the hole averages after the event.

The English Open was first held in 1999 and has been held at a wide range of courses. Previous winners include Michael Smith, Seve Kukielka, Tim Davies, Sean Homer, Chris Harding, Joseph Vallory, Nick Chitty, Peter Parr, Ted McIver, James Shaw. Who will add their name to this illustrious list in 2025?

A day rate of £10 will be available at the course for BMGA Members in the week leading up to the tournament.
