The Players & International Players Championships

The Players Championship and International Players Championship will take place, as is tradition, on the Friday before the British Open.

Play will commence from 4pm. The defending Players Champion is James Rutherford who triumphed at his home course Strokes Adventure Golf last year and the current International Players Champion is Daniel Vlcek from Czechia.

This is a great way to test your competitive edge on the eve of the British Open. Entries will close at 2pm on Friday 26 September.

FORMAT

The format is 1 round of Strokeplay for all players.

In the Players Championship the 8 players with the lowest score (if ties there will be a sudden death play off to qualify) will have a round of matchplay and the remaining 4 will play a final strokeplay round to decide the title.

In the International Players Championship the format is the same but only the top 4 qualify for matchplay and then a head-to-head final round of strokeplay will take place!
