Entries invited for British Championships

The final Major of the BMGA season sees the British Championships return to Strokes in Margate on the weekend of 16/17th October.

 

Strokes Adventure Golf Course is proud to once again play host to the British Minigolf Association, with the 2021 British Championships taking place over the weekend of 16th and 17th October, attracting top ranking players from across the UK as they compete to become the new British Champion as well as crowning the British Men’s, Women’s, Junior, Senior  and Super Senior Champions. We hope to see all five reigning Champions back to defend their titles. Marc Chapman (Men’s and overall British Champion), Cameron Fincher (Junior Champion, Shelley Cooper (Women’s Champion), Martin Greenhead (Senior Champion) and  Andy Exall (Super Senior Champion) – with a strong field of contenders lining up to challenge for the 2021 titles.  

 

 

The event will tee off from 10am on the Saturday and will consist of 7 rounds for all players to decide the National Championships across all five classes. Junior players who are 19 or under at the start of the year are eligible for the class and players 45 or over at the start of the year are eligible for the senior class, with players 58 or over eligible for the Super Senior Class, there is also the British Women’s title to play for. 

Participants can nominate to play in the class below if they wish (i.e Super Senior eligible players can nominate to play in Senior class instead.)

All players will play 4 rounds on the Saturday and 3 on the Sunday.

Entry fees for the competition, the third Major of the season is just £30 for 2021 Tour Pros, £35 for Non Tour Pros with a special reduced rate of £20 for Juniors, you don’t need to be a BMGA member to participate. 

The course are offering a £12 day rate for all players on the production of a valid 2021 BMGA Tour Pro card (entry to the competition also includes free practice on Friday 15th October).

 

Strokes will be open on Thursday 14th October (this is weather dependent so please check the course website/facebook/twitter) so please check with the course in advance if you are planning to visit earlier in the week (see https://www.strokesadventuregolf.com/ for details). The course will be open 10-5 on Thursday, and 10-6 Friday, and will be open from 8.30am on both tournament days.

Friday 15th October will also see the delayed 2021 matchplay singles event take place….entry to the competition will be £5 as usual. Players who can not attend the weekend but wish to enter the event can do so, but will also need to pay  £10 day rate. Free practice on Friday is only for entrants to the British Championships.
