SUMMARY:Players' & International Players' Championship
DESCRIPTION:The Players Championship and International Players Championship return in 2026\, taking place as is tradition on the Friday before the British Open. \nPlay will commence from 4pm\, giving players the perfect opportunity to sharpen their competitive edge ahead of the weekend’s British Open action. \nWith the British Open just around the corner\, these championships are a great way to get into tournament mode\, test your competitive edge and take on some of the players who will be competing throughout the weekend. \nENTRIES OPEN\n\n    Entry Fee: £10 \n\n    \n\n    \n\n    \nFORMAT\nBoth championships will begin with one round of strokeplay\, with all players competing for qualification into the knockout stage. \nPlayers Championship \nThe eight players with the lowest scores will qualify for a round of matchplay. In the event of a tie for the final qualifying position\, a sudden-death play-off will determine who progresses. \nThe remaining four players will contest a final strokeplay round to decide the Players Championship title. \nInternational Players Championship \nThe format is the same\, but with the top four players qualifying for the matchplay stage. \nThe four matchplay qualifiers will battle it out for a place in the head-to-head final round of strokeplay to determine the International Players Champion. \nIt’s the perfect way to kick off British Open weekend!

SUMMARY:British Open
DESCRIPTION:The British Open is the longest running minigolf event in Britain and is one of the most prestigious adventure golf tournaments in the world. Established in 1998\, the first event was held at a course in Broomfield Park in London. The inaugural champion was Thomas Zeininger from Austria. In the years to follow\, the Open always had a strong International presence with some of the top European players vying alongside Britain’s finest for the title. \nIt took 13 years for the first British player to win on home soil when Marc Chapman was victorious in the 2010 championship held at Mr Mulligans\, Sidcup. Incredibly\, since 2010 no international player has won the Open. 5 different British players have triumphed over the past 15 years with Michael Smith winning 9 Open championships. The most recent champion is Adam Kelly who won his 3rd Open at the Pirate course\, Hastings in September of 2025. \nWe had an incredible array of international talent at the tournament last year and we look forward to welcoming our guests back next year. DESCRIPTION:The Strokes Open will be held on Saturday 10 October 2026 at Strokes Adventure Golf Course in Margate. The defending champion is Strokes Minigolf Club captain and current British No. 2 James Rutherford\, who triumphed after a thrilling shootout in the final round with Scott Lancley and Seve Kukielka. \nStrokes Adventure Golf course is a fantastic 18-hole course that has been a favourite on tour for many many years. DESCRIPTION:The British Doubles Matchplay is one of the most popular events on tour and this year will be held as part of the double header weekend with the Strokes Open at Strokes Adventure Golf in Margate.This will be the first time that our iconic doubles matchplay event has been hosted at the course and we’re certain it’s going to be a thrilling encounter. \nThe doubles were first held in 2006 and the first pair to claim the title were Jon Angel and Keith Kellard. There have been many many winners over the years but some players have seen success across multiple pairings including Will Donnelly\, Michael Smith\, Chris Harding and Andy Exall to name but a few. SUMMARY:British Club Championships
DESCRIPTION:The British Club Championships is the event each year where club’s fight it out to be crowned the British Club Champions. Over the years it has always been a closely fought contest and the 4 player team matchplay format is always thrilling to watch and be a part of. The reigning champions are Gloucester Aces Minigolf Club\, who won their first title last year. \nThe tournament this year will take place at Play2Day in Wisbech. Hosting earlier in the year the British Singles Matchplay\, players will have already had the opportunity to test their matchplay skills on the course. It also hosted the British Matchplay doubles in 2025. DESCRIPTION:The British Indoor Minigolf Open makes a welcome return to Castleford in 2026. This event will be the final event of the year on the BMGA Tour. \nIndoor competitions are always very different from the outdoor events\, mainly due to the consistent conditions. This means that once a player has made a ball choice\, knows the line and pace then all they have to do is replicate that each time they play it! Which of course is easier said than done. \nWe are looking forward to taking the tour to Volcano Falls once again. \nENTRIES \nWe will announce when entries are open for this tournament\, keep an eye on your emails and on social media for updates.
